Reduces surface tension, reduces stickiness of clays, aids in cuttings removal, and prevents bit balling.

APPLICATIONS

Detergent is a drilling detergent for use in water-based drilling fluids. It reduces surface tension, improves water-wetting of solids, and minimises bit balling. It is suitable for use in freshwater, brackish water, seawater, and saturated saltwater fluids.

By reducing surface tension Detergent supports dropping sand and removing drill solids more effectively.

Improves Water-Wetting: Enhances the wetting action on all solids, reducing the sticking tendency of reactive shale cuttings.

Reduces Torque and Drag: Improves drilling efficiency by lowering resistance during drilling, especially in reactive or swelling clays.

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
Typical concentrations range from 1L to 2L/m3 for HDD, waterwell and diamond coring applications. Typical concentrations in severe conditions could range from 11L to 17L/m (4 to 6 lb/bbl). Add directly to the tank. Higher concentrations may cause foaming, which can be controlled with a defoamer.

Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions described in the Saftey Data Sheet (SDS).

PACKAGING AND STORAGE
Detergent is in 20L pails.
Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletising, banding, shrink-wrapping and stacking.
