Clay Dissolve

Effectively breaks down clay, preventing swelling. Highly concentrated and can be a dispersant or mud thinner.

APPLICATIONS

Clay Dissolve is a powerful polymer-based dispersant and thinner designed to penetrate and break down sticky clays that can cause drilling tools to stick. It works quickly to alleviate hole problems, reduce pulling times, and minimise the risk of lost pipe. It is effective as a well-development tool.

Effectively disperses clays, mud, and sediments in drilling fluids

  • Reduces viscosity and gel strength of drilling fluids, improving flow and circulation

  • Helps prevent bit balling and mud rings by breaking down sticky clay formations

  • Works rapidly to solve hole problems, reducing downtime and operational costs

  • Non-fermenting formula that is safe for the environment

SPECIFICATIONS
Physical Appearance: Light brown liquid

RECOMMENDED TREATMENT
As a dispersant, typical concentrations range from 1L to 4L/m3. This is commonly delivered directly to the zone where it needs to be utilised.

As a mud thinner, slowly add Clay Dissolve to the active mud system to reduce viscosity, avoiding over-treatment.

As a well-development tool, calculate the zone's volume from 1m above the screen to the bottom of the hole. Add 50% to account for water in the gravel pack and formation. Mix Clay Dissolve at 2L per 1,000L. Pump into the zone, allow 15 minutes to sit, and airlift to remove the filter cake.

Add directly to the tank.

TOXICITY AND HANDLING
Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions described in the Saftey Data Sheet (SDS).

PACKAGING AND STORAGE
Clay Dissolve is in 20L pails.
Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletising, banding, shrink-wrapping and stacking.
